The design of this shawl showcases the unique stitch design that no one else will have.
Piha means the 'divided ripple at the bow of a canoe', denoting the waves breaking at the iconic Lion Rock at Piha, New Zealand. The Piha Shawl design was inspired by the waves and sand ripples found at the low tide.
Hand crocheted by me near Bellingen on the mid north coast of NSW. This took about 55 hours to create.
