Description
The design of this shawl showcases a delicate strong design that provides deceptive warmth.
Hand crocheted by me near Bellingen on the mid north coast of NSW. It took about 60 hours to create.
Crocheted shawls take an extra third of yarn than knitted shawls ensuring that it is both delicate and that bit warmer than the traditional shawl whilst retaining its femininity.
FEATURES:
Size: a massive 225 cm wide by 58cm deep and took three skeins to make. Thats over $100 in cost of materials alone!
Shape: It is a beautiful deep crescent shaped shawl.
Materials: Fyberspates Scrumptious lace is a delicious blend of 45% silk and 55% merino wool. This yarn is a dream for lace. The solid colours work beautifully with the most complex of patterns, showing up the texture and delicacy of lace crocheting. The silk content makes it a strong yarn with a delicate shine. This beauty has been made with number 507 Teal.
