Description
Exploring femininity through a contemporary digital image. My paintings explore this concept by combining the centuries old tradition of figurative painting with current technology utilising imagery from photo shoots of a lingerie and swimwear collection i designed while at fashion college. I repurpose imagery and subject it to a series of digital processes in order to abstract, dramatize and simplify. I then paint the resulting compositions with heightened colour , bold shapes and a flattened graphic style which continues the figurative narrative in a contemporary way
