The gentle curve means it sits perfectly in your hand and it has a flat bottom to sit well on surfaces.
This dish is made by hand from porcelain and goes through a 14-day process including 2 firings in the kiln to extreme temperatures of up to 1280 degrees Celsius. It is glazed in clear gloss or turquoise and clear gloss. The custom wording is fired to 1000 degrees Celsius which fuses the text to the glaze. The end result is a lovely dark sepia colour which will never rub off, chip or fade.
The high firing temperatures means it is very light, but very robust.
