This is Bluey the Koala! Bluey is soft and very cute. She is about the same size as an adult Koala. (This pattern is for the adult koala only - the baby koala pattern is available separately). The download comes with clearly explained comprehensive instructions with diagrams. This pattern has been thoroughly tested to ensure your success. She can be made from a knit fabric with a low/no pile with no vertical stretch and not much crosswise stretch such as fleece, polar fleece and teddy fleece (You could also apply a lightweight interfacing to the back of knits that are too stretchy). She is very soft and huggable! I have also used a little bit of a long pile for the inside of the ears, a black pleather for the hands/feet, black felt for the nose, a white fur for the belly and lower chin and a plain weave quilting fabric for the inner ears and chin. You may also notice that I have added white irregular spots to the base and lower back because many Koalas have this marking - it is not necessary though. The majority of the project is machine sewn, but some parts could be done by hand.
