Description
The 'Home Among the Gum Trees' original artworks are currently part of the 'Finding My Way' exhibition at Crossway LifeCare. They will be on display there until the end of Term 1. Any purchases can be collected after this time.
For any exhibited art sold, a thirty-percent of the sales price will support the important work of LifeCare.
I've been taking many walks along the path near our house that is surrounded by many different gum trees. I couldn't help but paint a representation onto recent Christmas ornaments/wind-chimes and this painting overflowed into these artworks.
I had purchased some timber boards from @artboardsaustralia, at the time not sure of the purpose for them. As I was painting gum leaves on ornaments, it made sense to paint some backgrounds onto the boards as well, in the process discovering layers that gave the look of dappled light.
Then raised metallic layers, then finally leaves of metallic blues, greens, copper, and golds.
The finer details:
Acrylic on timber board
Size:
works numbers one to four - 15x15cm, 25mm deep; with keyhole hanger
work number five - 30x40cm (12x16inches); string secured for hanging.
Signed by artist, Kym Corn, on the bottom right hand corner.
Sealed with archival varnish to promote the longevity of the work.
All works come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
For commission enquiries, I can be contact at kymcohandmade@outlook.com
Please be aware that while I do my utmost to ensure photograph colours represent the actual colours of the artwork, differences in phone and computer screens may mean differences in colour representation.
