New Guinea Rosewood Chopping Block — Decorative Cleaver Inlay
Introducing a truly premium piece from Raw Woodworking — a handcrafted New Guinea Rosewood chopping block, designed to be both functional and beautiful.
Built from 66mm-thick, edge-grain rosewood, this block carries serious presence on any benchtop. The grain speaks for itself — rich, warm, and naturally striking — with each strip placed to create a cohesive, high-end finish.
A decorative crossed-cleaver inlay, cut from contrasting hardwood, adds a signature touch and elevates this block into the realm of display-worthy craftsmanship.
Finished with food-safe mineral oil and Raw Woodworking’s own timber wax, this piece is built to last a lifetime with proper care.

Care Instructions (Quick Guide)
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not soak and never put in the dishwasher.
- Dry immediately and stand upright so both sides can breathe.
- Keep away from direct heat and harsh chemicals.
-
Re-oil when water stops beading—apply food-safe mineral oil, then finish with timber wax for best protection.
- For deeper cleaning, wipe with diluted white vinegar; for odours, rub with coarse salt and lemon.
- Light sanding (220 grit) and re-oiling can restore the surface over time.
