ABOUT LORRAINE BROWNLEE DESIGNS
Lorraine has lived in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, near Sydney, Australia, for 35 years and it was here that she developed her great love for plants, flowers and birds in all their intricate beauty.
"One of my favourite things is drawing the native plants and birds which I see every day in the bush around my home. I do my best to observe nature and capture what I see in my initial pencil drawings. I then enhance the delicate, intricate shapes, lines and patterns to bring out their magic. By the time I come to the final pen drawings, I have turned the natural form into a pattern and each unique design seems to flow onto the paper, almost on its own."
Lorraine has created an impressive portfolio of vibrant and uplifting full-colour illustrations inspired by Australia's unique plants, flowers, birds, oceans and shorelines.
Auspress Marketing is a collaboration between Lorraine and her husband Ian Brownlee, an award-winning printer and publisher. Together, they have also produced several high-quality fine-art books for renowned Australian artists.
Using their skills, they created Lorraine Brownlee Designs which produces a wide range of greeting cards, bookmarks, gift tags, magnets, tea towels, tote bags, art prints, and limited edition giclée fine art prints.
