This one of a kind, A5 journal has been thoughtfully designed and handcrafted in Perth, Western Australia for memory keeping, storytelling, and self-expression.
Dimensions & Construction:
Measuring approximately 24 cm x 16 cm with a satisfyingly chunky 7 cm spine, this journal is built around three hand-sewn signatures, each containing 10 pages of varied textures, sizes, and weights. The pages are a tactile delight, featuring a curated mix of:
- Scrapbook paper
- Hand-dyed papers
- Aged cartridge paper
- Vintage music sheets
- Book pages
- Parchment paper
- Printed digital ephemera
- Envelopes for hidden treasures
Details & Embellishments:
Inside, you’ll discover an array of thoughtfully added details including pockets, tucks, belly bands, and decorative clusters ~ enhancing the experience while leaving ample space to write, sketch, or personalize. Scattered throughout are inspiring words and vintage imagery evoking the charm of old photographs without dictating the purpose or theme of your journal.
Cover & Spine:
The cover is made with premium Tim Holtz fabric from the Palette Collection in rich, warm autumnal shades of orange and mustard. Hand-sewn details complement the fabric, adding texture and character. The external spine features a substantial piece of aged crochet trim, providing both a tactile element and protection for the signature threads, which are securely bound with a 3-hole pamphlet stitch. Inside, the threads are finished with sweet little butterflies, offering a whimsical delight each time the journal is opened.
A vintage-style metal plate on the cover reads “Capture life’s moments,” perfectly setting the tone for recording your memories, reflections, or creative ideas.
Practical Notes:
- Due to the nature of the mixed papers, this journal is not suitable for wet media such as watercolour or inks.
- If you wish to add photos or keepsakes, please use dry adhesives or apply wet glue sparingly to avoid staining or warping the pages.
Whether you use it as a journal, art book, memory keeper, or gift, this unique creation invites you to fill it with your own stories and treasures—one page at a time.
