Handmade using my original Dark-purple Azure (Ogyris abrota) butterfly watercolour painting
These earrings have been lovingly handcrafted from sections of my original watercolour painting of the Dark-purple Azure — a beautiful and lesser-known Australian butterfly. This species is recognised for its rich violet-purple wings, soft blue iridescence and striking dark edging, all of which come through in the abstract patterns of each pair.
Every cut reveals a different part of the painting: blends of purple and blue, fine inky linework, and soft natural texture. This means each pair is truly one-of-a-kind, with no two designs ever repeating.
