These Australian natives are remarkable mammals. They have a duck bill, webbed feet, are aquatic and lay eggs. Crazy right ! Oh and the males are venomous.
They love crustaceans, insects and are quite solitary. They can live to about 20 years in the wild. They date back to a family of animals 61 million years ago ! Good one.
