My friend Frankie (from Spoon Gal) and I have been collaborating to create a collection of truly special pin cushions.
Frankie has hand-carved these bases with the most beautiful Australian timbers. Shaping each base so it feels smooth, warm, and full of character. I’ve paired her craftsmanship with a soft, hand‑stitched cushion top made from complementary fabrics that sit perfectly within the timber.
For some of the pin cushions, we’ve also added 000 steel wool inside some of the pin cushions, giving makers the added bonus of being able to sharpen their pins and needles as they use them.
Each piece is a little blend of her woodworking artistry and my textile work — practical, beautiful, and made to last.
They are lovingly polished with Frankie's own 'spoon butter'. (Pure beeswax and organic coconut oil).
