This is an enlarged version of a traditional pouch, used in Japan to carry rice offerings to the temple or to hold gifts.
It is a great design with it's roomy box shape, wide opening and drawstring closure. Very practical for knitting/crochet/sewing or other projects on the go but can also be used as a lunch bag or for holding gifts (or rice)!
With this bag I have combined two Japanese traditions, the rice bag design with the dyeing technique of Shibori, more familiar to most as Tie Dye.
The exterior is purple, contrasted by a navy coloured interior. Extra detail is added with the Japanese style knot covers at the end of the drawstrings.
The whole bag is reinforced with a sturdy padding, giving the bag body and structure.
Dimensions: 20cm wide, 20cm deep, 24 cm high
