Blues and oranges with flecks of gold, this jumper is unique in so many ways.
The yarn is hand spun by me. It's 50%merino wool, 50% tencel. Tencel is a substitute for silk and is made from organic materials.
I loved spinning this yarn, the colours intrigued me as they formed on the bobbin and excitement grew over what I could create out of it. This is the passion I get when I'm making something special.
The design is 'freestyle' which means literally that. No pattern, just a concept in my head. Some people sketch a free style design but I like to let it evolve as the project develops.
It's a lengthy process and there's often unpicking (frogging in crochet speak) but I think that it's the way I get the best results.
The size is 8 to 10 Aus women's. As the photos show the top hugs the body to accentuate your curves.
I almost forgot! This jumper took first prize in it's section at the Norfolk Island Royal A&H show and I've had so many people comment on it and compliment my work. If you wear this you are bound to get compliments.
