Welcome to Ruby Maud Design.
Ruby Maud was my Nanna - who along with my mother, taught me how to sew and knit when I was very young, and I have been in love with these two crafts most of my life.
Sewing has been something I have always done - without thinking really - it's just an extension of who I am. From about the age of 13 when sewing was part of my high school weekly lessons - I became impatient with the rate of learning - so I taught myself. In the end I was sewing for my mother when I was around 15 and have sewed for my children and now my grandchildren.
Knitting has always been a craft I have loved. My mother's hands were always busy. She was always knitting or crocheting at the end of busy days raising a large family. I knit most days. I find the rhythmic motion very calming, it is my release time where I can pick up something easy and just knit or if I am wanting a challenge I create my own patterns. I always have a few projects on the go and can choose whatever I want to tackle on the day. If it's been a tough and busy day - I always choose my sock projects - who I knit for family and friends. If I've had a cruisey day I might choose a cable, fairisle or intarsia knit.
Ruby Maud Design products grew out of a need to keep all my knitting projects in some kind of order. I love having my project bags with everything I need. I also like to have easily accessible knitting accessories - like measuring tapes and needle gauges, row counters and stitch keepers all in one easy place to find.Ā I love finding new gadgets and ways to make my knitting and sewing projects easier and fun.

Regular surface mail delivered by Australia Post - business days. Gift wrapping is also an option at no extra cost.
The buyer must contact Ruby Maud Design within 7 days of receiving your purchase in regards to any return. Returns will only be accepted for accidental damage through postage or faulty product. Return or refunds are not accepted for change of mind. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs and any loss in value if an item isn\'t returned in original condition.
