I currently work full time in an urban design practice and have worked for many years in architecture and interior design. When I was working from home during the first Covid Lockdown, I was looking for a distraction from the Pandemic as well as a creative outlet.Ā So, I started making fabric lampshades. Fabrics have always been a passion of mine ā having grown up in a house that was always full of beautiful fabrics as my father was a textile importer.
Each shade is hand-crafted using beautiful designer fabrics sourced both locally and internationally and I only make 2 or 3 of each design so they are very much limited edition. The shades are created for use on floor lamps, table lamps or as ceiling pendants. Lampshades can be made to order and I particularly enjoy repurposing shades for a favourite lampbase.
