The crochetbykarenj story ...

In 2013 I picked up my very first crochet hook, sat in front of YouTube for a few hours - that was me - I became 'hooked' - literally! I knew that I wanted to crochet toys; and it was then I became obsessed with Amigurumi, the Japanese art of crocheting stuffed wool cuddlies.

I can still remember the first 2 animals I made: an elephant with wonky legs; and a hideous looking monkey ... I still have them, and love them, to this day - because that's where my Amigurumi journey began!

Fast forward a few years - I'm still creating my beloved Amigurumi - and can often be found at local markets, selling my creations. I love seeing the joy on people’s faces when they're selecting a special gift for a loved one or friend.

Each of my special creations is carefully hand-crafted, made from high quality yarn, premium fibrefill and embroidered or plastic safety eyes.

They can mostly be machine washed (for those toys not recommended for machine wash, you will find additional details in the description) and unlike other toys, your crochetbykarenj creation is heirloom and will last a lifetime.

Each toy is unique and is looking for a forever home!
