Did you know that the yellow rose was considered to symbolise honour, power and respect in ancient China? I like to think that these earrings, created from a vintage china tea-set can symbolise these values for their wearer!
These sweet earrings measure 2.5cm x 2cm, have a total dangle of 5cm from the top of their sterling silver crook, and have been made with lead-free solder so that they are safe to wear everyday!
To create these earrings, I used a number of different processes and specialist hand tools in order to shape the pieces and secure them to the sterling silver crooks. I've buffed the solder to give a smooth but matte finish, and have created some subtle inclusions throughout the solder to lean in to the overall vintage / boho vibe of the piece. Whilst some crazing may be expected on the china itself, this is a normal part of the aging process and in no way impacts the durability of the piece.
