This large soft hobo bag was created from a cute little woollen skirt. It is sort of felted black wool fabric with grey and red applied squiggles.
It is lined with charcoal sheeting fabric - originally a doona cover. The bag has a zip pocket on the back wall and a double slip pocket inside the front wall. It closes with a magnetic snap in a silver colour.
My hobo bags are quite big - about 35 cm x 28 cm, so they hold quite a lot.
The wide comfortable strap is long enough to wear the bag across your body, then it sits on your hip (it is 100cm). Alternatively, you could wear it on one shoulder if you prefer.
I have named this design ‘Sadie Jane’ after a school friend when I was young.
