Textile waste is a huge issue and in an attempt to avoid adding to the problem, I have developed a 'Rescued Remnants' collection - these are items I have created using the small leftover pieces of yarn from other projects. These unique pieces may have knots or other 'perfectly imperfect' accents but they are full of character and a zero waste product from my studio.
The colourful 'Paint Palette' mat is created with Australian Merino wool that I have spun on my MajaCraft 'Rose' wheel, and includes a small woven bookmark which is created with handspun Sari Silk. 'Berries & Cream' is created with cream & burgundy extra fine Australian Merino yarns that were both spun and plyed on my drop spindles. These one-of-a-kind mats are perfect for displaying a vase of flowers, candles, or many other household items and make a beautiful gift.
Each mat is approximately 13cm x 13cm and comes displayed on a card with a wooden 'Spindle & Spool' button which can be easily removed if preferred.
