Pinky Olympus-FE Camera Bot

A little robot with a big heart — and arms permanently outstretched for a hug.

This one-of-a-kind character has been created from an Olympus FE digital camera, given a new life as a quirky handmade robot.

Its pink personality comes from the collection of salvaged and repurposed parts: pink plastic pieces form the outstretched arms, a wooden block becomes the head, thumbtacks make the eyes, screw eyes become the ears, and two vintage thread spools form the legs.

The result is a playful little character that combines photography, wood, hardware and everyday discarded objects into something completely unexpected.

Each robot is individually handmade from upcycled and found materials, so there is only one exactly like this.
