Raven Textile Art Sculpture -Alice in Wonderland

The inspiration for this bird came from a gorgeous teal blue piece of Alice in Wonderland fabric I found in Japan while on holiday. Once home, the bird came together quickly. Featuring references to the Queen of Hearts, the white rabbit and Alice, it includes a little tiny potion bottle with the famous words "drink me" strung on silk ribbon around her neck. This corvid shaped bird was handmade using a mix of new and vintage fabrics from my collection. She stands approximately 25cm tall, has wire feet and a wooden beak. Not intended as a toy.
