Original painting, Call of the waves, Gouache on Paper. It features Soldiers Beach, New South Wales. It was painted from my own personal reference photo taken during a family holiday to Norah Head.
For many Australians the beach is a part of their culture. I grew up in Southern Adelaide and lived about 15 minutes drive from my local beach. My summers were filled with evening swims, walks on the jetty, fish and chips and coming home covered in sand. Even in winter I would take long walks down the beach. Now I live in-land the beach is still a part of my soul. It is why seascapes feature in many of my paintings. While not a surfer myself, I grew up around them. The beach is deeply embedded in their souls. Waves are a passion to them. It is like they hear the waves calling.
Original, one of a kind piece. Painting comes unframed. Is mounted in a conservation matt board surround (colour: White). Both the front matt and backing are acid free. Backing is foam core board.
Painting protected from the elements inside a cellophane sleeve. It is package in between cardboard supports for extra protection and sent in a cardboard tough envelope.
Can be professional framed. Should you wish to frame it yourself the matt surround has been made to fit a 25.4x25.4 cm (10" x 10") frame. I recommend sealing the gap between the backing board and frame with tape (eg framing tape or kraft paper tape) to avoid future dust or insect damage.
