Ready to frame. Original painting, End of a great day, Gouache on Paper. It features two Ski surfers on Middleton Beach, South Australia. It was painted from my own personal reference photo taken during a family holiday to Victor Harbor, South Australia.
There are some beaches that I return to over and over, not because I am local, but because of their natural beauty. While many locals go to Middleton beach to walk, swim, surf (or cockling), I love Middleton Beach for its long and wide beach. The waves come a long way up the shore and result in these beautiful glass-like reflections. This particular day did not disappoint. The clouds billowed above as a summer storm approached. Like my own family, there were many families enjoying their holiday together on the beach before the pending storm. The clouds, disappearing blue sky and peoples activities were reflected on the glass-like shore, delighting my soul again.
Original, one of a kind piece. Painting comes unframed. Is mounted in a conservation matt board surround (colour: White). Both the front mat and backing are acid free. Backing is foam core board.
Painting protected from the elements inside a cellophane sleeve. It is package in 700 gsm envelope for extra protection.
Can be professional framed. Should you wish to frame it yourself the matt surround has been made to fit a 30.2 x 40.3 cm (12"x16") frame. I recommend sealing the gap between the backing board and back of the frame with tape (eg framing tape or kraft paper tape) to avoid any future dust or insect damage.
