This one-off gift set is a collaboration between Madeit artists Eco Print by Jen and Juliet Foster Art. It includes a beautiful handprinted pure wool scarf with one pair of designer earrings inspired by the Australian parrot-pea flower.

• Gorgeous 100% pure wool, fine Australian merino scarf by Eco Print by Jen

• Hand ecoprinted with silver dollar eucalyptus leaves, gumnuts and stems, capturing nature perfectly

• The finished colours given by the leaves are deep orange and reds

• Striking hand carved, fine art flower earrings inspired by the gorgeous Australian native showy parrot-pea flower

• Each earring pendant features an original artwork handpainted in miniature on both sides with complex detailing in professional fade resistant gold and red colours

• Approximate dimensions 2 cm height x 2.5 cm width; total drop length 6cm; weight less than 4 grams.

• The pea flower pendants are affixed to long drop stainless steel kidney-shaped secure closure hooks.

PROCESS AND CARE

Scarf process

The ecoprinting process Jen uses involves wrapping leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for four hours. She adds salvaged iron to the water to bring additional colour and interest. No chemical or powdered mordants are used to make this scarf.

Scarf care

This colourfast scarf can be washed by hand with a pure soap and ironed gently on the wool setting.

Earring process

Juliet transforms natural paper products into a strong material that behaves like wood. She carves this substrate into two beautiful pendants using minature woodworking tools. Juliet then handpaints a unique miniature artwork onto each finished pendant using professional grade archival-quality lightfast paint from Liquitex. Any differences between the pair add to the originality of your fine art earrings.

Earring care

When not wearing your earrings, protect them from excess UV light by storing them in a closed box. Clean them occassionally with a soft dry cloth. Check out our policy page to learn more about jewellery care.
