Macrame bracelet made with 1mm waxed polyester cording in the colour Black with 6mm sized beads. This beautiful bracelet holds four different crystals: Black Tourmaline, Rhodonite, Smokey Quartz and Crystal Quartz.
The inspiration for this bracelet came from the music video "Frozen" by Madonna that was released in 1998. When the video first came out, I was in my final year of high school and at the time my classmates and I were studying Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Upon seeing the video clip I always felt that she was supposed to represent the three witches that feature in the play. Other interpretations indicate that her character represents the three Fates of mythology as well, and this is what had always stuck with me. As I was creating this bracelet, the video kept coming to mind.
The Black Tourmaline, Smokey Quartz and Clear Quartz represent the costuming, the location the video was shot at and the colour grading that was done post production, which gives off the more cooler and blue/grey tones. I added the Rhodonite because it needed a pop of colour, and I felt that all the crystals matched perfectly.
