"Sing me a song, of a lass that is gone".. Take me back to Lallybroch! The famous and beloved fictional ancestral estate of Jamie Fraser from the series and Tv show, Outlander.

I visited Scotland in December 2025 and took this photo of Lallybroch (Known as Midhope Castle in Abercorn, Scotland) and explored the estate. The inside was crumbling away and not structurally sound, but the outside that we know and love, was pure nostalgia.

This image inspired me to create brooch of Lallybroch, by digitally turning the photo I took in December 2025, into an 1800's inspired style photograph to memorialise the beloved Broch Tuarach.

I digitally edited my image, changed it into an oval shape, adhered it with resin to the glass cabochon, and affixed it to the brooch.

I hope this brings some nostalgia to your life, and reminds you that what is old can be new again.
