‘HANGING KINGFISHER’
A hand cut glass Kingfisher sun catcher.
I cut the kingfisher from different shades of teal stained glass, the head and wings are an iridescent teal which catches the light beautifully. His upper body is a transparent teal and he also has touches of white and orange.
He is sitting on a wire ‘branch’ that has been hand bent to the curved shape to represent a branch and has a hook at the top for hanging.
His throat and upper body have hand painted details using enamel paint.
He measures approximately 30cm in length.
