Now wouldn't this be a classy Halloween Trick or Treat bag?!! Should have dressed up in my bat costume to model this one!
This classy number would also look great for a night out on the town with it's metallic, shimmery rainbow streak
This Japanese Knot Bag will be your handy little 'fit just what you need' companion or it could be used like a hamper and fill it with other handmade goodness for a Christmas gift or a unique birthday present.
I've become obsessed with creating these Traditional Japanese Knot Bags
I came upon them while looking for something to make to raise some extra funds for my teenagers upcoming school trip to Japan! How crazy- we were lucky to go to the beach!
These Japanese bags were designed to hold small treasures, traditionally for tea ceremony. With a longer handle that threads through the smaller one, it creates a knot symbolising protection and often made using recycled fabric such a rice sacks.
It is cleverly, a self closing bag without the need for buttons or clasps.
I've created these using 2 strands of cotton blend yarn for durability, this is a sturdy bag you can throw around a bit without a care in the world.
Measurements- bag compartment approx 22cm x 18cm. I say approximately as each bag is hand carfted by me and different yarns create slightly different sizes however this is a minimum measurement.
I hope you like them and I hope you become obsessed with them as much as I have!
