I painted this beautiful pinky-purple abstract artwork using alcohol inks on yupo paper. Yupo paper has a silky surface, and by using an airbrush and a hairdryer, I blew the inks across the surface of the paper. This creates the ripple effects and the layers in the colours as they dried. In this piece, my aim was to shape the ink into a floral silhouette, with layers of pink petals.
The artwork features various shades of pink inks, complemented by gold ink for a touch of brilliance. To finish the painting, I added some iridescent watercolour to sections, for some delicate, subtle sparkle.
The frame is slightly smaller then A4, measuring 30x25cm and has a stand so the frame is displayed vertically. The clear part of the frame is glass.
Please note that the colour of the painting can look slightly different on your screen compared to in person.
