Lace Sheoak Timber

Lace Sheoak is a rare and highly sought after species of Sheoak (Allocasuarina fraserana). The heartwood colours range from light pink to dark red with orange/purple and can contain occasional black streaks. The sapwood is a light yellowish brown. Lace Sheoak has one of the most striking orange/red lace grain patterns to be found in any of the rare timbers and looks like a fiery explosion of burning embers. This figured pattern is very rare and prized for fine furniture, cabinetry, guitars, wood turning, inlaying, boxes and other high end applications.
