Dentelle | Knitted fine silver necklace with gemstones and leather

This one-of-a-kind necklace is a mixture of different techniques and material. Chainmaille and knitted wire married with kangaroo leather and peridot gemstones create this unique piece.
The back story is that while I was knitting the wire, to create a simple knitted necklace, the wire broke. I was left with a shorter piece – I don't want to have joints, particularly in those pieces.
After some creative thinking, this is the design I came up with, keeping the piece lightweight.

Materials: fine silver with sterling silver handmade clasp, hand stitched kangaroo leather, peridot gemstones
Length: 40-41 cm, to fit the base of the neck.

I source my silver from a reputable Australian supplier which recycle and refine silver and gold.
