Macrame bracelet made with 1mm waxed polyester cording in the colour brown, with 6mm sized beads. This beautiful bracelet holds four different crystals: Lapis Lazuli, Amethyst, Turquoise and Rose Quartz.
This piece is named after the Celtic Goddess Danu, who is to be mostly found in Irish mythology. She is believed to have been a great river goddess, in addition to being mother goddess to the Tuatha Dé Danann people. She represents wisdom, magic, nature, abundance, fertility, and motherhood. Danu is also the goddess of nature, fertility and possibly a wind or earth goddess. Her connection to the earth also ties her to the fairies, fairy mounds, and the many standing stones and dolmens of Ireland; all things in Ireland depended upon her blessings.
Fun fact: Since the Celts had been known to migrate, it is theorised that the River Danube, one of Europe’s longest rivers, may have been one of many rivers named in Danu’s honour. As someone who is proud of her Eastern European heritage, this was an absolute delight to get to know her.
