These little brooches have been hand made by Tracey Malady and adorned with straw marquetry.

After working on a large project (such as a tartan) Tracey keeps the extra straw that has been prepared and applies it to little wooden brooches.

The straw gives a beautiful luminous effect on the brooch which is highlighted when a light source makes contact - either sunlight or indoor light.
