This is an Art Print of my original Acrylic on Canvas painting, Lake St Clair reflections. It features the still reflections on Lake St Clair, Tasmania.
Tasmania is a gem of Australia, it is filled with so much natural beauty. This original piece was painted from my own personal reference photo taken during a family trip to Tasmania. On this day there was not a cloud in sight. It was mid-afternoon, the sun wasn't glaring, but nor was it warm. We were rugged up. The air still and cool. The lake was filled with reflections of the mountains, trees, sky and rocks. The light was beautiful. The sunlight revealed the shapes of the rocks in the foreground. The rocks reflected back sunlight into the shadows, revealing subtle shapes and colours in the shadows.
Open edition print, not numbered. Prints come unframed, with no matt surround or backing.
This image is printed in-house using Canon Lucia pro archival inks. It is printed on Ilford Galerie Smooth Cotton Rag 310 GSM, 100% Cotton Rag paper, acid free and has no optical brighteners. Print is sent protected behind glassine paper (to avoid damage to print surface) and wrapped in cellophane.
Can be professional framed. Should you wish to frame it yourself I recommend using a mat board in your frame to prevent the print from touching the glass, which can result in the print sticking to the glass and/or crinkling over time. A matt surround suitable for a 15x20 cm (6"x8") image would be suitable. I also recommend backing it with 5mm foam core backing and sealing the gap between the backing board and frame with tape (eg framing tape or kraft paper tape). Avoid touching printed surface.
