This underwear is not a full nappy, but has a waterproof layer and absorbent padding in the crotch area from front to back. 2 layers can absorb 200mls and 4 layers - 400mls. When choosing your preferred absorbency level, keep in mind that higher absorbency may make the underwear heavier. Elastic is added to the waistband to help with this extra weight.
